Kiran Kumar faces setback with Dharmana file
on Dec 21, 2012
Governor Narasimhan has returns back Dharmana’s file sent to him by Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet, disallowing CBI prosecution. All the ministers in the cabinet except Minister DL Ravindra Reddy have signed it approving CM’s decision on this issue.
However, Governor Narasimhan who said to be taken the suggestions of New Delhi over this issue has returned the file to Kiran Kumar Reddy government on Thursday suggesting him to take legal experts’ suggestion on the file issue. Certainly, this would be a setback for Kiran and his ministers, who hurriedly passed the file, while the courts are grinding teeth upon cases like this.
CBI catching the mood of the state government has recently files a separate petition in CBI court asking permission to prosecute Dharmana Prasada rao. It quotes some case examples of same kind for which Supreme Court nods for prosecution. Hence, the court agreeing with CBI arguments has served fresh notices to Dharmana Prasada rao on yesterday. In the wake of these developments, it would be embarrassing for Kiran Kumar Reddy to see the file bumps back into his office.
